The Bit Shifter show was great! Okay, maybe i am a bit bias, having told everyone to go and all, but i was actually, genuinely impressed. I have to hand it to AMODA for putting together this show. Some of the visuals were more art gallery than pulp, but that is to be expected… and i have to sympathize with those bartenders who had to listen to two computer humping noises all night (thank god that was inside). Also, props for having a schedule for the shows (i can’t stand when you get to a show and no one knows when anyone is going on and after you’ve payed the cover you realize the band you came to see is over [i am looking at you mohawk]).
So yea, About This Product, 1 Bit Wizard, and DJ Fuckin’ A… well, i was surprised that there were local acts in such a tiny genre, but i have to say i was it’s nice to know it’s still growing. As for Nullsleep and Bit Shifter, when they came on stage, it was nothing but LSDJ for the rest of the night. While Nullsleep might have made the ubernerd crowd get up and dance, the fans of Bit Shifter were much more intent on watching the man do his work. My favorite part of the show however, was when Nullsleep said they needed more volume; so he took his monitor and turned it toward the crowd and turned it up (did anyone at mohawk here it?).
Bit Shifter highlights included his killer Covox tshirt, a gameboy bsod, and some pretty intense dancing. Anyhow, i only hope that everyone had as good a time as i had (again… except for the bartenders inside… that thing was annoying as shit). Oh, right… also i have photos.
